The Art Nouveau movement brought the idyllic designs and styles of the 1920s and 30s into full swing, and here we have a fine example of the decor from that era. This lovely lady was a very pleasant surprise for us (and to our consignor as well). While we could find no identifying marks on her, the design of this lamp is consistent with others from Aladdin – a company well-known in the antiques industry. Sure enough, this gorgeous lamp brought an amazing $1,485 on eBay!
At Auction Bay, we are always pleased to see a period item from the early half of the last century. Period items that show Art Nouveau or Art Deco design always have a good chance of high sale value.
